The liar fools you twice 

and insults your intelligence, 

then she exits 

in nobility and good cause 

and even though

you’re drenched in shame, 

you will call it rain 

and clamor to find another.

Resigned to Madness

From out of the clouds monsters are born 

to break the monotony of bogus claims, 

misguided accusations and hatred for things 

they hate till they need them too.  

Then all things change but give it some time 

and I’m sure they will find 

some crazy way to make a scandal of this too
cuz that's what we pay them to do

or at least that's what they think.

Aspersions on Asparagus

It’s good to know 

the world still moves on 

after it’s gone 

completely insane.

If their way is the only way
to get re-elected
than I would suggest the democrats
get on board
and start acting like imbeciles too.

Present Moment

As it crumbles away it reconstructs 

and we are caught in the blur of creation 

tagging a name to secure a place 

in the debris that has crumbled away.

Old Age  (Haiku style) 

Over sixty five 

every little ache and pain 

seems significant  

and the doctor is 

never just a call away 

like the ads imply. 

So we just learn to  

suck it up and wait it out  

and hope we don’t die.

The Real World

When the TV is turned off 

the world shines, smiles 

and minds it’s own business.

When the computer is off 

the info assault ceases to exist 

and the markets disappear.

When the phone is off, well, 

peace returns anew 

and oh, what a splendid view 

I’ve been missing.

Slow Recovery

If I were a big bank or corporation 

and could borrow all the money I wanted 

almost interest free,

thanks to Bernanke, who say’s 

"till the unemployment rate drops

to a certain percent", 

I’d make damn sure it never dropped

to that percent.
