The professor said,
“those who say they know
prove they don’t
and potential hides
in the effort
to better understand
and those
who take the high road
run the risk
of disappearing from sight”.

An old Somali saying
Lie to a liar, for lies are his coins.
Steal from a thief, for that is easy.
Lay a trap for a trickster
and catch him at his first attempt,
but beware of a honest man.

The question is, would you buy a product from a store
that constantly criticizes it’s competition who sells the
same product for half the price.
Evidently, half the voting populous would.

Good thoughts. Like the phrase, "those who take the high road run the risk of disappearing from sight" ha. I hope that's not what Obama is doing...Romney is definitely trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Romney & Co. are banking on the fact that most of the electorate hasn't been paying attention until now...sigh sigh. Very tired today. News of a friend's passing...Carry On! I count on your insights from day to day. And appreciate them!
ReplyDeleteSadly, that is exactly what Obama is doing. When I worked for the forest service I learned the value of fighting fire with fire and that's what Obama has to do. It's like he pretends he doesn't live in a dog eat dog world. He has hard facts to slam that dog down but he doesn't use them face to face which makes him look weak and that's all this crazy world wants to see.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I think Obama got complacent, but he also has a real day job. Romney is clueless abt. foreign policy. I'm waiting for Joe Biden to squish the little pipsqueak Ryan, or whatever his name is...and pray for Obama to get a spine for his next round.
ReplyDeleteIt all reminds me of that old movie, It's a Wonderful Life' and George never finds his way back and we've become a country that worships Henry F Potter and the craziest thing of all is they'll play that movie a hundred times over in the next couple of months and nobody gets it.
