In the Dark
In a cave dark and foreboding
god emerged to save us from our fear,
so we decided to stay in the dark
lest our god should disappear.

I never thought I’d live
to see the day
an armed guard’s presence
the only way
to save our children from ourselves.
Seems barbaric, a step back,
a Nazi solution
for the peace that we lack.
truly, I think we're heading toward a barbarism harking back to darker times...heard of something in our news awhile ago...some police chief thought it'd be a good idea for mentally ill, like ex-cons, to have tracking bands on their legs in case of wandering off...guns & technology will save us from ourselves.
