Coming back from the dead in a zombie form
is a bit unreal and taxes the brain
but becoming cannibals in a dog eat dog world
is hardly a stretch of the truth.
The entertainment/advertisement media will push a product in every conceivable way and when someone acts upon it and buys that product they will take full credit for it but when they push acts of violence in the same saturating way and someone acts upon it in the real world they will take absolutely no credit or blame for it at all,
and this is a lot like living in a country that has deprived it’s people of freedoms from the very beginning but advertises itself world wide as the land of the free.
Sometimes I think perhaps we are all just the end result of hundreds of years of false and deceptive advertising.
We are like a nation of used car salesmen slapping a coat of fresh paint on cars with broken engines and the damnedest thing is we’re selling them left and right.

Yes! They will only say "we need better mental health, better police". When we have to ramp up police, health & military to the point we have, we've become a really SICK country. I fear all-out anarchy in the days to come.
ReplyDeleteAll-out anarchy will have to come by people not willing to go along to get along and believe me there are very few of them left.
ReplyDeletemaybe there's enough independent thinkers - i know there's radicals out there. (they are expecting anarchists at the Repub. convention) But yeah, probably not possible. (not advocating anarchy.)
DeleteThe thing i've noticed in talking with like-minded people, they easily get carried away with the details, not the over-all picture. well, that's all.
Unfortunately there's never enough independent thinkers.
DeleteWhat I see is a sickly regression and everybody struggles so hard to get by they have no time for the politics that inflicted there hardships.
With so many conflicting messages it is easy for people to be turned off to politics. (Since the pres. race is all about power, many people don't feel they have a say in the conversation.) and democracy dies.
ReplyDeleteSo true and that's exactly what the republicans are hoping for.
