We the People

I tossed my shame hat

high in the air

much to the grimace

of corporate despair.

People are waking up

most everywhere

tired of the giants

who pollute the air

waves with lies

and insistently declare

we follow their lead.

Worship their greed.

Buy all the crap

they say we need

while they get richer

and we slowly bleed

away.

But not today!
