what ever happened

to the land i grew up in?

a land where hero's

actually walked among us

but denied they ever were

a land where famous

was the result of good deeds

instead of how much

money you got from daddy

for just staying out of his hair

a land where we helped

those who needed it the most

and by doing so,

no matter how much it cost

made us the light of the world
