One bad apple cop

shoots the guy seventeen times

then walks away free.

Six other cops watch,

do absolutely nothing

and make no arrests.

Okay, how many bad apple cops do we have?

It's hard to express 

how thoroughly disgusted 

I am with this world.

So much potential,

so much opportunity

just wasted away.

In my name I think

they will destroy everything

I love and cherish.

I gave up smoking

for a number of reasons

but mostly because

I worried too much

about running out of smokes

or forgetting them.

Much like it must be

if you're hooked to a smart phone

you can not forget.

Always on your mind
like a monkey on your back
never letting go.

The Great Redefining

'No boots on the ground'

really means boots on the ground.

You just heard it wrong.

really means raise the prices

and no one will care.

really means more prime time ads
and network profits.

if the profit's right.

has risen again today

minus the thumb screws.

The traitors seek truth.

They put her to the question.

Her truth is ignored.

Frothing at the mouth
they find the lady guilty
of what, no one knows.

and voicing lame opinions

is all that matters.
