it's just a feeling but,
(haiku)

i strongly suspect
we are all suffering from
mass insanity

and no one knows it,
doctors don't even know it
cuz they're insane too

-

like this old story,
everything doubled in size
while everyone slept

measuring tools too
so no one ever finds out
they are twice as big

it can't happen here but,
(haiku)

it's happening here
and i'm literally obsessed
with it's progression

everyday i write
these stupid observations
centered around him

and i feel so stuck
in the proverbial mud
and i can't get out

-

i should feel lucky,
l'm witnessing history
but i just feel sad

an ancient chinese poem i like

the worry seems no end
when it comes to searching
your hearts desire
even when wearing out
your shoes made of iron

yet without one's slightest effort
fate strikes and opportunity
lands on your lap

everybody thinks
(haiku)

everybody thinks
down deep they are good people
with just a few flaws

everybody thinks
they have lived eventful lives
and should write a book

everybody thinks
the world revolves around them
despite what they say

and everyone thinks
if the world suddenly ends
they'll somehow survive

this world of ours
(haiku)

is like a riptide
for every two strokes forward
it pulls you back five

just when you give up
because it looks obvious
you're going to die

it lessens it's hold
and you find yourself floating
and gasping for air

he had a dream
(tanka)

they keep killing blacks
and getting away with it,
blacks keep protesting

but nothing ever changes
cuz his dream was just a dream

-

jesus had a dream,
muhammad too and hitler
they all had big dreams

but they too lived in a world
where a dream is just a dream

american healthcare
(haiku)

i don't know a soul
who gets medical treatment
they are happy with

(tanka)

everyone complains
doctors treat us all the same
like we are cattle

herded and categorized
at their holy convenience
