Don’t be fooled.

When they say they want to take America back 

they are not talking about a possession
they lost, 

they are talking about the early fifties

when rock and roll meant bad taste
and women, kids and colored people
knew their place.

At the half time show
a confederate flag marched with the red, white and blue
and the crowd all cheered as if it knew
what it was cheering for.

Drones over Pakistan 

Imagine Mexico declaring war 

on their elusive enemy, the drug cartels.

Then imagine Mexico sending drones 

to hunt down and kill those 

who escape and hide in America.

Now try to imagine America giving Mexico
the right to do so.

I suppose some things are just too absurd to imagine
but that does not mean they are not happening somewhere.

Now that the world won’t end 

the news media can dig through the dusty bin 

and put a flame to every cold case 

then unravel the gruesome details in our face 

and then they will call it ‘breaking news!’

“Different view when it happens to you,” 

the talk show host said.

It’s like they live without the a clue 

they too will end up dead.

Funny thing happened at the tea party rally, 

a wannabe slipped off the stage. 

After the ER was finally through with him 

all he had left was his rage.

That’s when he decided to check out the exchange.

in a manufactured maze
we can not escape.

Crazy runs rampant in DC.
Murderous car chase,
someone setting him self on fire
for all to see 

and authorities say they have no idea

why these crazy things are happening.

Duh...

Wealth probably doesn't trickle down but crazy most certainly does.
